I am an artist who has lived, worked, and helped to raise a family in Philadelphia. As a practicing Architect, I learned to see the world in a certain way.
In the late 1980’s, I returned to ‘formal’ art training, at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Fleisher Art Memorial, and subsequently decided to pursue painting as a full time profession.
My work has been shown now for the last twenty or so years at galleries along the east coast, in Santa Fe, and in Ireland. It has been well received, and was written about in American Artist magazine in November, 2005.
I paint what I see around me that says something to me about my life, humor, history, or beauty. Although my work can be said to be realistic, it has also been called both ‘impressionistic’ and ‘expressionist’ – go figure.
